Cryptographic Resilience Assessment
Identify where cryptography is used, what it protects, how long that protection must remain effective and whether the current controls remain proportionate to the risk.
Cryptography is often embedded across applications, databases, backups, certificates, APIs, communications and third-party platforms without a single view of where it is used or what business information depends on it. A resilience assessment creates that visibility and tests whether current protection remains appropriate.\n\nR2N Partner can support the development of a cryptographic inventory covering encryption, digital signatures, certificates, protocols, key lengths and public-key dependencies. The analysis links those technical controls to the sensitivity, business criticality and required confidentiality or retention period of the protected information.\n\nThis allows management to distinguish between short-lived data and information that may need to remain confidential for many years. The same algorithm or configuration may therefore represent a different risk depending on the data, system and time horizon involved. Key management, certificate lifecycle, obsolescence and third-party dependencies can also be considered.\n\nThe output is a prioritised view of cryptographic exposure, areas requiring remediation or deeper technical review, and the foundations needed for stronger crypto-agility and future post-quantum migration planning.
